OUR SERVICES

Castillo Immigration offers support and assistance for immigrants in various aspects of immigration law from affirmative applications before USCIS, through detention and deportation defense, appeals, and advocacy.

Deportation Defense

Legal strategies and actions taken to prevent the removal or deportation of individuals from a country by immigration authorities. It involves challenging the government’s basis for deportation, seeking relief through administrative or legal channels, and advocating for the individual’s right to stay in the country.

Deportation defense can involve various legal options, such as seeking asylum, cancellation of removal, adjustment of status, or filing appeals or motions to reopen a case. It may also involve community advocacy and public awareness campaigns to draw attention to the individual’s case and rally support for their cause.

Detained Matters

Detained Matters may involve challenging the detention itself, seeking release on bond or parole, defending against deportation, or pursuing other forms of relief.

It can involve complex legal issues and require the expertise of immigration attorneys who specialize in this area of law. The goal of Detained Matters is to ensure that individuals are not unlawfully detained and receive due process under the law.

Adjustment of Status

Adjustment of status is a process that allows certain individuals who are physically present in the United States to apply for lawful permanent residency, also known as a green card, without leaving the country. The process can be complex and may require the assistance of an experienced immigration attorney. Once an individual’s adjustment of status application is approved, they become a lawful permanent resident and can live and work in the United States indefinitely.

Citizenship Application

The citizenship application process involves filling out an application, submitting documentation, undergoing a background check, attending an interview, and passing a citizenship test. Once the application is approved and the individual takes the Oath of Allegiance, they become a citizen with all the rights and responsibilities that come with it.

Consular Processing and Waivers

Consular processing is the process by which individuals who are outside the United States apply for a visa to enter the country. This process typically involves applying for an immigrant visa at a U.S. embassy or consulate in their home country.

During the consular processing, applicants must demonstrate that they meet the eligibility criteria for the visa they are seeking, such as family-based or employment-based visas, and that they are admissible to the United States. This may involve providing documentation, undergoing a medical examination, and attending an interview.

Affirmative Asylum

Affirmative asylum is a type of asylum application that is made by an individual who is physically present in the United States and who is not in removal proceedings. Affirmative asylum seekers typically apply within one year of arriving in the United States and must demonstrate that they have a well-founded fear of persecution in their home country due to their race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or membership in a particular social group.

VAWA,T and U-VISA Application

The application process for each of these types of immigration relief can be complex and may require the assistance of an experienced immigration attorney. Each application has specific eligibility criteria, documentary requirements, and application procedures that must be followed. However, obtaining VAWA, T, or U-visa status can provide victims of abuse and violence with important protections and opportunities for a better life in the United States.
